Newcastle Event – Hosted on the 16th February 2017

Thursday 9th March 2017

Print & Stitch headed North in mid-February to Newcastle; printers and embroiderers across the region took the opportunity to see the latest and greatest innovations available in the industry in an easily accessible and intimate venue. Andrew Stocks from Stocks Embroidery & Sewing Solutions said “people took advantage of the convenience roadshows present, and popped out of their businesses for a couple of hours to catch up with everything that is new in transfer print, screen print and embroidery industry”.

This region has a strong history of technological innovation, claiming George Stephenson (who built the first inter-city railway) and Sir Joseph Wilson Swan (the inventor of the lightbulb – before Edison) as their own. So it was not surprising that Print & Stitch proved to be an exciting event for both visitors and exhibitors looking for new ways to develop their businesses.

Stocks Sewing Machines demonstrated their ZSK Sprint industrial embroidery machines capable of embroidering at 1,200 stitches per minute without comprising on their superior stitch quality. Offering choice in terms of budget and performance, Stocks also displayed the Brother PR1050X and PR655 commercial embroidery machines; feature rich machines that are very popular with business start-ups.

Wilcom, the most popular embroidery digitising software in the UK, were demonstrating their Embroidery Studio and DecoStudio products; offering a range of software options suitable for business start-ups and established embroidery companies looking for ways to be more creative and efficient.

Madeira embroidery threads were also on hand to show the versatility of their range both in terms of colour and thread types, visitors loved the Frosted Matt and Poly Neon polyester threads.

Also exhibiting were the ever popular The Magic Touch (GB), offering hands-on demonstrations of their transfer papers on a wide range of products and surfaces.

Screen printers appreciated the amazing innovation offered by Goccopro, a revolutionary digital screen print maker that can make a screen from artwork in less than 5 minutes.

eTrader develop website solutions specifically designed for printers and embroiderers. Print & Stitch visitors could see first-hand how professional their businesses could look online.

Golden Finishes also joined Print & Stitch in Newcastle, they are a well-known supplier of blank and decorated products and are a familiar name in the industry. They offer a selection of outsourcing services that include cutting, making and finishing.

Newcastle was a popular location with businesses based in the North East and Print & Stitch is sure to return.

Spring is all about new beginnings, so why not join us at our next show in Leicester on the 23rd March 2017.
